A pair of classic Yajirō-style Kokeshi by Naoki Satō (佐藤尚紀). The contrast of natural wood and deep black, combined with the vertical leaf pattern, makes this set instantly recognisable within the Yajirō lineage.

Both pieces still show strong paint and clean lines. Signatures on the base of each doll confirm authorship,  and add collectability. This set is meant to stay together: visually and stylistically, they are one continuous series.
