This elegant Kokeshi, titled Doshin (童心), is a creation by Japanese artist Masae Fujikawa. The name refers to a "childlike heart," beautifully reflected in the serene expression and gentle lines of the doll. The warm plum-red kimono is richly decorated with branches of blossom – a traditional Japanese symbol of impermanence and beauty.
