A refined and serene Kokeshi by Ishimura, made for Sōgen (草玄) – the name of a former Japanese Kokeshi shop that released works by various artists – and titled "Spring's Arrival / Haruno Otodure" (春の訪れ).
The doll depicts a young woman with a voluminous bob hairstyle and a kimono adorned with hand-painted spring blossoms. The soft tones and natural wood grain evoke lightness and renewal, while the dotted pattern and floral motifs symbolize prosperity and growth.
